Elite Academy Of Dance

Become a Ballerina at  Baby Ballet Inverclyde

Elite Academy of Dance was established in 2009. It operates out of its own private studio in Greenock. The school is the only dedicated Royal Academy of Dance classical ballet school in Inverclyde. Over the years, Elite Academy of Dance has developed into a centre of excellence of Royal Academy classical ballet.

This has resulted in pupils successfully gaining places at the Dance School of Scotland, Scottish Ballet and MGA. Due to this success, Elite now has strong working relationships with these and other  establishments within the world of ballet.

Starting with Baby Ballet classes there is a clear defined pathway for progression through the age and grades.

Baby Ballet classes are designed for pre-school children, normally from age 2 to 4. Once students start school they move into the next stage of their ballet development and progress into classes designed for ages 5 to 8.

What to expect at the  Elite Academy of Dance

Indusrtry Professionals

Fully qualified Royal Academy of Dance teachers. It's important for parents to know that students are being taught by  the very best in the industry.  


Fun

Initially it's all about learning and having fun. Alongside classes we have lots going on especially at Halloween and Christmas. Then of course everyone has the chance to perform at our annual summer show.


 Alba Ballet

Alba Ballet is our performing company. The first and only performing ballet company from Greenock. Alba is open to those 8 and over and places are by audition only. Since 2014 Alba have performed The Nutcracker 2014 and 2022, Cinderella 2016 and Coppelia in 2018. 


Classes and Exams

Classes are designed to be fun and work within a frame work that has continually evolved since 1920. Royal Academy of Dance exams are the most sought after qualification within the dance industry.
